Xi

Xi arises from the encounter between Natalia Lumbreras’ experience with hand painting on silk and my own experience with textile pottery. It is inspired by the Silk and Porcelain Routes. Trade routes that were fundamental for the exchange of knowledge from the East to the West. We draw a parallelism between this historical exchange and that inherent to collaboration, as well as between our practices and the materials and techniques that originated these routes
