A rope in the shape of a vessel

Textile pottery _ Sewn rope vessels.

Similar to hand-turned clay pieces, the z^z vessels take their shape from the cord as it is being sewn. While the left hand spins, it helps to define the form depending on how it is inclined. The right hand positions and tenses the cord to determined their outline. The sewing machine unites the cord in a continuous zig ^ zag.
