Ripples

A sea on a stone.

In the Ripples, the hollow out movement enables to draw on them.

The sunken part of the piece is made with a copy machine that moves its reading-arm along a flexible surface. It transmits a discontinuous vibration to the arm that chisels the stone. As a result, a landscape of random and irregular ripples is created. A portion of the sea or of the traces that the sea water leaves on the sand.

Each tray is unique and different.

Stones: Calatorao´s black marble, Macael´s white marble and onyx.
