A sea on a stone
In the Ripples trays, the hollow out movement is used to draw on them.
The piece´s sunken part is made with a copy machine that moves its reading-arm along a flexible surface, transmitting a discontinuous vibration to the arm that chisels the stone. As a result, a landscape of random and irregular ripples is created, a portion of the sea or of the traces that the sea leaves on the sand.
